The Veneer Collection
The rhythm of the decor moves along the containers, creating a pleasant ripple effect. Veneer becomes a dreamy and distinctive graphic design. The movement of the texture reinterprets the grain of the wood in a controlled way, creating almost an optical illusion due to the flowing lines moving across the surface.

Patricia Urquiola
Born in Oviedo in 1961. Studied architecture at the Polytechnic Universities of Madrid and Milan, where he graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni, whose assistant he remained from 1990 to 1992 at the Polytechnic University of Milan. From 1990 to 1996 he worked in the product development department at De Padova, where he collaborated with Vico Magistretti. In 1996 she became head of the design department at Atelier Lissoni Associati. In 2001, she opened a design office specializing in design, furniture and architecture.
The company
Opened in 1921 as a "technical workshop for the processing of brass and nickel-silver plates, with foundry", Alessi has always been known for the high quality of its products.
The company is open to change and international developments, but at the same time firmly rooted in the tradition and cultural heritage of its environment. Alessi is still synonymous with objects that are characterized by their artisan qualities, but are produced with the help of machines.
Alessigraphy, or the geography of Alessi production
Most Alessi objects are still produced in Italy - since the company was founded in 1921 - through cold metal working, which is the responsibility of skilled employees in Crusinallo di Omegna.
Over time, Alessi added to its program other materials such as porcelain, glass, wood and plastic, and developed a special production method for each. Even for external production, outside the Crusinallo factory, Alessi's guidelines guarantee the same high quality standards as in-house, always balancing technical and industrial complexity with attention to craftsmanship details.
Non-metallic objects are manufactured at various production sites around the world. They are and remain original Alessi objects, as they are based on the same high-caliber design approach and the same search for quality that characterizes all the company's products.
