It has been produced for centuries in the town of Jijona, in the Alicante region, and is known worldwide for its distinctive flavor and texture. However, like many other food products, Turrón de Jijona has also evolved over time. One of the most significant changes in recent years has been the reduction of sugar content. El Lobo's Turrón de Jijona is an excellent example of this evolution. It's a soft, creamy turrón made with Mediterranean almonds, honey from Spanish farmers and free-range eggs. In particular, it contains 39% less sugar than the traditional Turrón de Jijona. How is it possible for a turrón with less sugar to taste the same as the traditional Turrón de Jijona? The answer lies in the quality of the ingredients and the experience of Jijona's master turrón makers. El Lobo's Turrón de Jijona is made from the highest quality Mediterranean almonds. The aroma and taste of these almonds are unique. They are grown in areas with a Mediterranean climate and harvested at their optimal ripeness. Other ingredients include honey from Spanish farmers, which gives the turrón a sweet and aromatic note, and free-range eggs for a smooth, creamy texture. Most importantly, El Lobo's Turrón de Jijona is gluten-free and has the Jijona Denomination of Origin, which guarantees its quality and authenticity. The 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard packaging is another added value of this product. It is an ecological packaging that contributes to reducing the environmental impact of food consumption.
