English Tea Shop's wide range of gourmet teas will always leave you pleasantly surprised - from classic English breakfast teas to captivating herbal teas, all packaged in sumptuous tea bags or the most luxurious gift boxes. English Tea Shop is based on the concept of value sharing. In fact, ETS believes in doubling shared value and the direct link between sustainable development and long-term growth. In our business, we do this by applying the principle of creating shared value (CSV); a revolutionary approach developed by Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter that companies like ours are putting into practice with exciting results in terms of growth. Through the multitude of projects we have established in rural areas of Sri Lanka, we encourage our farmers to revive ancient farming practices. Our teas and ingredients come from such small farmers, in limited quantities, grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We are committed to recognizing and telling the world how these small farmers have a huge impact on preserving the planet's natural ecosystem for many generations to come. We pay them a premium on top of the Fairtrade price to ensure they can operate in the most sustainable way. In addition, through the concept of creating shared value, we take steps to improve the well-being of farmers and their families. Once the ingredients arrive at our manufacturing facility, our team of experts combine them to create the right balance of delicious flavors. Afterwards, our tea is packed by hand, thus reducing our carbon footprint. From there, it's a hop, skip and a jump across the sea and across the globe - into your cup.
