The GARDENA connector is used – within the GARDENA irrigation system – to connect pipes. The connector can also be used to directly connect the irrigation system to the home's plumbing.

Water connection
With the components of the connection set, it is possible to quickly connect a GARDENA irrigation system or GARDENA pipe to the tap with fittings. The GARDENA central filter is installed centrally upstream of the GARDENA irrigation system or the GARDENA pipe and filters the running water safely and reliably. The filter can be used above or below ground. The filter can be removed for easy cleaning. The GARDENA central filter can also be used together with pumps or other irrigation devices. As part of the GARDENA irrigation system, the GARDENA drain valve prevents frost damage to the underground system. This is achieved by automatic drainage when the system is turned off; the valve opens when the water pressure in the system drops below approximately 0.2 bar. Drain valves should be installed at the lowest points of the irrigation system and embedded in a layer of washed coarse gravel for reliable drainage. The GARDENA connection box is used to connect the faucet to the GARDENA underground irrigation system or to the GARDENA pipe. If an irrigation valve or water outlet is connected downstream, the hose connection is under constant pressure; in this case, the hose connection must be fixed with the pressure-resistant adapter.
