Goji berries, a superfood
It is no coincidence that goji berries are often mentioned these days. This small fruit from Asia is considered one of the so-called "superfood" due to its very interesting properties, which makes the effects of its consumption quite spectacular. Goji berries come from a tree called Lycium or Chinese sea buckthorn. It grows in Asia and its consumption is originally associated with Taoist culture. Goji berries are small red berries that grow on sea buckthorn, also known as devil's branch. This thorny shrub is robust and can grow up to 4 meters tall, although most goji plants are usually between 1 and 3 meters tall. Its leaves are lanceolate and solitary, while its purple flowers are clustered in small clusters. The shrub blooms between June and September. The small flowers grow on the tree alongside the already ripe small fruits. They can be shaped like a small cherry and are more or less elongated depending on the variety.
Goji berries, a superfood
Originally from Asia Minor, goji berries have been introduced to many countries, including France. However, the special conditions in the regions Tibetan Qinghai and Ningxia they make it a plant with various properties.
