What is matcha?
Matcha is Japanese and literally means "tea powder". Matcha is a green tea that is grown in Japan and used for the traditional tea ceremony. Its leaves are dried before being ground into a fine powder.
-
Where does ORIGEENS Ceremonial Matcha come from?
Our teak is 100% organic according to EU standards and comes from a small farming cooperative in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
-
How do I best store my matcha?
For an optimal flavor experience with every tasting, we recommend using matcha as soon as possible after opening. Once opened, matcha stays fresh for about 4 to 5 months.
-
Why is matcha so beneficial?
Matcha has many beneficial properties: it is detoxifying, has an anti-aging effect, burns fat, energizes and relaxes. It owes its positive effect primarily to the many highly effective antioxidants it contains.
-
How is matcha made?
Matcha green tea is grown in the shade. This inhibits photosynthesis, which means that the tea leaves produce a large amount of chlorophyll and other nutrients. After steaming and drying, the leaves are separated from the leaf veins and finely ground.
