The nuts are harvested in the summer in controlled organic wild harvesting areas in the scenic Himalayan foothills along the ancient Silk Road in southern Uzbekistan. âœ... ORIGIN 2/3: The cherries themselves are then freshly processed, washed, calibrated, sorted, pitted and lovingly dried on site immediately after harvest, without any other additives or bleaching agents. According to studies, the cherries and sour cherries grown today all come from these wild, ungrafted cherries!

Fairtrade organic dried fruit
Sun-dried - unsulfurized - non-oily - unsulfurized - raw
Harvested at full maturity in the mountain wild collection areas of Samarkand during the summer and processed fresh, sorted, pitted and lightly sun dried. Old varieties with intense flavor that can only be found in Uzbekistan. Vacuum packed immediately after processing.
Health benefits
Dried fruits contain high amounts of antioxidants and provide the body with a variety of vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals. In addition, their high fiber content ensures a long-lasting feeling of satiety and has a regulating effect on the intestines. However, dried fruits are high in calories due to their sugar content. Silk Road sources its raw materials from two small farmer cooperatives with approximately 1,000 associated families in the Samarkand region along the ancient Silk Road. Silk Road is the youngest member of the Pakka family. In addition to the Fairtrade premium, we empower small farmers by pre-financing their harvest and opening new access to the European market for them.
