Long live "Valencia"! The artistic concentric ornamentation of "Valencia" recalls the opulent intoxicating motifs of Andalusian mosaic tiles.

The magnificently patterned tiles arrived in southern Spain from the East as an outstanding architectural and decorative element during the Moorish reign and still adorn the walls and floors of countless buildings in this region today.

Unlike their famous colorful designs, the 'Valencia' designs are presented in soft and subtle earth tones.

Given that the all over trim and brown swirls are applied by a stamping technique, slight differences in color intensity and/or decoration are inevitable.

No two pieces of tableware are exactly the same, but each is - just like antique handmade clay tiles - to a certain extent unique.

The tableware, which, incidentally, owes its name to the Spanish city of Valencia, considered the Mecca of tiles par excellence, is made of high-quality, dishwasher-resistant stoneware, a material whose rustic appearance perfectly matches the artisanal charm of the detailed designs.
