Non-stick pans support a health-conscious diet. They fry easily, require little fat and are easy to clean. Calabria pans have a PTFE non-stick coating and do not contain PFOA*. They have good non-stick properties, making them scratch-resistant and insensitive, so even metal spatulas can't damage them.
The pans from Silit's Calabria collection are truly versatile for any occasion and in any kitchen. High-quality polished stainless steel forms the robust basis of the series. Complemented by stainless steel handles suitable for ovens up to 260°C and the Silitherm thick base, compatible with all induction stoves, with optimal thermal conductivity for quick, even and energy-saving frying, the pots and pans from the Calabria collection are the ideal basic equipment for all cooking enthusiasts.
In the manufacture of pans with a non-stick PTFE coating, several layers with a non-stick effect are applied to the base material. The pans are durable and wear-resistant. Good non-stick properties, no sticking or burning for gentle frying of delicate foods
The design of the base with even heat distribution and long heat retention ensures energy-saving cooking. The pots are also suitable for all types of cooking.
The handles of Silit pans are shaped so that they sit comfortably and securely in the hand and distribute the weight correctly. The handles also have a flame guard for use on the gas stove.
Use only the highest heat level for heating, switch back in time and roast at medium or low heat levels. Use heat-resistant oils and fats for frying. The correct frying temperature has been reached when the fat is distributed in the pan in stripes. When roasting meat, press it down gently. This will initially stick to the base of the pan. After a short time, the fibers contract, the meat separates and can be turned easily. You can deglaze the roasting residue with wine or soup. These will dissolve and provide a good base for the sauce.
Clean the pan as soon as possible after use with water, detergent and a sponge. Do not use steel wool or abrasive detergents that contain sand. Stubborn food residues must be softened.
