Marcel Wanders' new product range is aimed at breakfast lovers, but not only: It is the perfect complement to the Dressed service that he introduced in 2011. This multi-faceted collection presents Wanders' original design language, which interprets traditional forms and stylistic elements in a modern, contemporary way.

Marcel Wanders
Marcel Wanders from the Netherlands started his career with the iconic "Knotted Chair", which he designed for Droog Design in 1996, after studying at the Arnhem School of Art in 1988. Today he works for the biggest European manufacturers of modern design, such as B&B Italia, Droog Design and Moooi, where he is also artistic director and co-owner. Since its establishment in 2000, Moooi has become an internationally recognized design brand. In 2005, Marcel introduced the extraordinary LUTE SUITES hospitality concept together with the well-known chef Peter Lute. Marcel has taught at SFMoMA, Limn, Design Academy, Nike, IDFA, FutureDesignDay. Various projects made by Marcel Wanders have been selected for the most important design collections and design exhibitions in the world, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco and many others. Reports on Marcel can be found in all major design magazines such as Domus.
The company
Opened in 1921 as a "technical workshop for the processing of brass and nickel-silver plates, with foundry", Alessi has always been known for the high quality of its products.
The company is open to change and international developments, but at the same time firmly rooted in the tradition and cultural heritage of its environment. Alessi is still synonymous with objects that are characterized by their artisan qualities, but are produced with the help of machines.
Alessigraphy, or the geography of Alessi production
Most Alessi objects are still produced in Italy - since the company was founded in 1921 - through cold metal working, which is the responsibility of skilled employees in Crusinallo di Omegna.
Over time, Alessi added to its program other materials such as porcelain, glass, wood and plastic, and developed a special production method for each. Even for external production, outside the Crusinallo factory, Alessi's guidelines ensure the same high quality standards as in-house, always balancing technical and industrial complexity with attention to craftsmanship details.
Non-metallic objects are manufactured at various production sites around the world. They are and remain original Alessi objects because they are based on the same high-caliber design approach and the same search for quality that characterizes all the company's products.
