Artemis was the Greek goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth, virginity and protector of young maidens, who brought and cured disease in women; she was often depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows, and the deer and the cypress were sacred to her. This statue depicts Artemis with bow and arrows in hand, wild hair and cape flowing around her, flanked by a deer. Made of cold cast resin, it measures 29.5cm high, 19.5cm long, 10.2cm wide and the beautiful bronze finish is accented by subtle splashes of colour.
